Dear Troop 89 Scouts and Families,

I am writing this letter to bring your attention to a serious matter that requires our full attention.  As everyone knows, Troop 89 has been extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to meet at the Church of the Advent for the past two years.  Unfortunately, the church has recently pointed out that they do not feel that we are using our privileges in the manner they expect.

As a result, we must make immediate changes.  It is important that we treat our meeting location the same as we do our camping locations … we want to leave it in as good of condition or better than we found it.

We must be especially careful to:

·        Be sensitive to the amount of noise we make during the meetings

·        Properly carry tables and chairs that we use during the meeting and not to drag them when we move them

·        Keep all doors closed at all times

·        Return everything to the proper place at the end of the meeting

·        Leave the entire building neat and tidy before we leave

To ensure that we leave the building in good condition, the PLC has recently instituted a check of the facility after each of our meetings.  This will help each of our members remember our obligations to our hosts.  It is important that the Scouts help when they are assigned this duty and that the parents support their efforts by patiently waiting until they finish their checks.
