Boy Scouts Scout Out Blue Hill Trails

Have you ever gone down a ski slope without skis? Medfield’s Boy Scout Troop 89 did exactly that on their May Hiking and Mountain Biking camping trip to Camp Sayer at Blue Hills in Milton, MA.

This trip had a great turnout. Six bikers rode 11.5 miles through the Blue Hill trails, while another group of 14 hikers explored other trails. Six adults led the expeditions.

            During the weekend, several scouts completed First Class requirements for cooking and lashing. New scouts worked on their map, compass and camping skills for their Tenderfoot rank, which is the second badge on their way to Eagle Scout.
